Quakes-Storm Series

Per the Quakes' radiocast Tuesday night, their rotation for the four-game opening series at Lake Elsinore is:

• Thursday — Sean O'Sullivan
• Friday — David Herndon
• Saturday — Trevor Bell
• Sunday — Tommy Mendoza

I'll be doing photos and video at the Sunday game.

According to MLB.com, Padres CF Jim Edmonds will play on rehab with the Storm in the Thursday and Friday games.

Chris Bootcheck was supposed to pitch at minor league camp today, according to media reports, with a possible rehab assignment afterwards. I'll post any updates on his status.

Elsewhere, I received an e-mail from Jeff DaVanon's mom. Jeff was recently released by the Padres. She wrote that he's been signed by the White Sox and assigned to their Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina. I wish him nothing but the best, he's a class act.
